Accepting Yourself

As you may already know by now, our approach is not just about weight loss but about elevating your entire being and achieving true happiness for yourself. We believe that there are six steps to achieving elevation, and we want to describe them here.

The first step is Accepting Yourself. We want you to start out by getting to the point where you can believe that there is nothing wrong with who you are. If you are overweight, that does not make you any less beautiful. You are beautiful just the way you are, and you are healthy as well, but you want to make a change for the better.

The second step is Believing Yourself. You will need to believe in yourself to truly succeed in this program. You need to believe in your own abilities and recognize the fact that you have survived all of the negative things that have happened in your life up to now, and you are strong and amazing to have been able to deal with all of that. Because you have dealt with all of that, you know you will be able to deal with what comes to you in the future as well.

The third step is Treating Yourself. Even though you are trying to make a positive change in your life, it is okay to treat yourself once in awhile. If you want to have a yummy sweet treat or take a day off from exercising, you should not feel guilty about doing so.

The fourth step is Exploring Yourself. You should figure out why you do things the way that you do. When it comes to food, you should think about healthier options. If there is a snack that you like a great deal that happens to have a lot of fat or sugar, you should consider possibly seeing if you can make it yourself in a healthier way. You can try to make it yourself in a way where it would taste just as good but it would not have all of the unwanted ingredients.

The fifth step is Affirming Yourself. It is very important that you realize that no one else is as good as you are at being you. You are the very best person in the world for that job, and you need to give yourself credit for that on its own.

The sixth step is Elevating Yourself. Here, you will really need to zero on the fact that you are the central character and central focus of your own story. You need to rejoice and how wonderful you are and everything that you have to offer to the world. Simply put, you need to love yourself and make sure you are treating yourself just the same way that you would treat someone else that you love very much.

As you can see, our approach involves a great deal more than simply losing a few pounds on the scale. It involves making over your mind, body, and soul. We want to make sure that you are not only losing weight, but truly becoming healthier in the process, both physically and mentally. We want to make sure that you are making changes that will last you for the rest of your life and that will bring you happiness for the rest of your life as well. Our approach to losing weight and getting healthier is not a conventional one, but we feel that it is more effective overall because we are focusing on the whole person rather than just the body; we feel that this is the best way to encourage true change in a person.
